Moths in Colorado
Colorado has several prominent moth species, some found outdoors, while many inhabiting indoors, dwelling in food and clothing.
Moth infestation is one of the common problems in Colorado, mainly caused by the Miller moth seen in mid or late spring. The Indian mealmoth found here is another in the list damaging dried fruits and food grains. Then there are common clothes and codling moths attacking clothes and fruits (pears and apples), respectively.
