Moths in Louisiana
Of the several moths thriving in Louisiana, the most common ones include the luna moth of the Saturniidae family found throughout the year, mostly at night. Moths resembling the hummingbird like the snowberry clearwing, and hummingbird clearwing moths also inhabit parts of the state, observed during the day and at night. The other frequently sighted moths are the colorful salt marsh moth and the white, spotted fall webworm moth belonging to the Erebidae family.
